Tax is applied after the discount, on the sale price. That is how it works in most US states and most online carts.
Can I stack two discounts?
Yes - run the first discount, then use that result as the price for a second calculation to compare the combined effect.
Does it work for "buy 2 get 1 free"?
Not directly. For that deal, the effective discount is 1/3 off the total, so enter about 33.33% to see the equivalent single-item price.
