How do I calculate a discount?
Use "percent of" to find the discount amount (e.g. 25% of 120 = 30), then subtract it from the original price. The Discount Calculator on this site does both steps in one place.
Can the result be a negative percent change?
Yes. If the second number is smaller than the first, the tool shows a negative value with a "decrease" label.
Is this accurate enough for taxes or grades?
